Six slim books, two fat volumes: a pagination puzzle
Client’s brief
To introduce new elements into an existing complex flow of topics. Re-configure layouts; design new graphic elements to more clearly distinguish between topics; refine colours and integrate additional text and illustrations.
Covers, Volume I and II
Slices from three images represent periods and cultures from books 1–3 in volume I and 4–6 in volume II.
The two volumes split into six books; an invigorating exercise in pagination.
