One of London’s most dynamic choirs
New London Singers’ initial brief was for a logo, a clear statement of identity; followed by a web site, stationery, CD designs and publicity material.
As an elite chamber choir, they are known as one of London’s most outstanding vocal ensembles, performing most regularly at St Martin-in-the-Fields and at venues across Europe.

On receiving this job I remembered an image I was lucky enough to catch in Greenwich Park; the inky shadows and emerald lawn evoke both the subject and the music’s richness.

This was to be a more edgy, less run of the mill, performance. What better than an irreverent version of a Venetian icon. The triumphant horses from Vivaldi’s home, here assembled in Notting Hill Gate, from discarded household items.

Photographed by David Chancellor, a summer’s evening in the Mediterranean was not the most obvious choice. But could that be one of the three ships sailing by?

Part of a supplied, required image. Good rich colour, but quite a compositional challenge.
