The Same Only Different
The main challenge in this edition arose from the need to synchronise it with a web version based on the previous edition, while removing twelve pages of picture credits yet keeping the same page count as that previous edition. This entailed attaching the credits to each picture caption while expanding the content to use up the twelve deleted pages. More space – a designer’s dream – except for the push-pull of existing text and pictures. The trick was to expand the whole seamlessly to avoid over-large images at any point.
